Saturday At The Ferry Building

Since getting back to San Francisco, life has been a real whirlwind! I'm now in my second week of work and I'm starting to settle back into my old city life day by day, dinner date by dinner date. This past weekend Jim and I had a breakfast date a The Plant Organic Cafe followed by a stroll through the Ferry Building, which is without a doubt one of my favorite places in San Francisco.
The produce is so fresh and vibrant. I sampled these juicy plums and I wish I would have picked up a bag to snack on this week. Big mistake!
I'm finally reunited with my favorite coffee brand, Blue Bottle. There's seriously nothing like it, but Union Coffee in London is a close second.
Loving the sunshine at the Ferry Building! On a side note, the sun is so strong here, I feel like I need to wear sun tan lotion every day (I know, I know, you're supposed to but I typically don't). That's going to have to change pretty quickly.
I've always loved Cowgirl Creamery - they make the best cheeses and my sister picked up a really tasty mozzarella and salami sandwich that I'd highly recommend.
And finally, a beauty shot of the Bay Bridge on this sunny Saturday. Although it's not as pretty as the Golden Gate, it does have a really cool LED light show at night which we can see from our hotel window.

I've been so behind on my blogging, but I'll catch up soon with posts on our trips to Carmel and Mt. Tam, along with a few other snaps from our South of France trip (which now feels like lightyears away!). I may even have to post a few shots of our new flat which we are anxiously waiting to move into next Monday. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly and I love it just as much as I did when I first saw it.

Hope everyone's having a fabulous week!

The French Riviera

After semi-settling in to our temporary home in La Selva Beach with my parents, I finally feel like I have enough calm in my life to blog. It's been quite the whirlwind getting back into the swing of things but after an intense week we now have an apartment and a car - yippee! Now, I'd like to teleport back to our trip to the South of France to share some of my favorite photos from our day trip to Antibes and Cannes. It's a breathtakingly beautiful place.
These are just a few of the big yachts docked in the Antibes harbor.
Here we are just picturing which yacht would be ours!
This was a beautiful building I spotted in the Cannes harbor, love/want those shutters. The town of Cannes is lovely - along with walking along the promenade and checking out the massive hotels, we also wondered through the little side streets and found a really cute cafe called Dame cafe where we had a few beers and bruschetta on the house.
We were there just a week before the Cannes Film Festival kicked off so we got to see all of the preparations taking place along the water which was very cool.
The small but beautiful Cannes beach and the sprawling coastline...I would never get sick of this view.

Next up I'll share more French goodness including photos from our time in Nice, Eze and Monaco. In between I'll try to update on our lives in San Francisco which actually begin this weekend (and jobs on Monday...ah!) Until then, au revoir...
